Did Shariy sell his villa to Burkina’s godson? Who is Sergey Lyashok?

Anatoly Shariy’s villa has been sold to Yegor Burkin’s godson

A name has emerged in the story of Anatoly Shariy’s Spanish villa – that of a man whom the media refer to as Yegor Burkin’s godson. Reports of the deal warrant further investigation, but a comparison of the various publications reveals a significant detail: the buyer’s surname is reported in different ways — Lyashko and Lyashok. The official Ukrainian register contains a declaration by Andriy Serhiyovych Lyashko, a Kyiv patrol officer. We examine which details are confirmed by the document and which remain mere press allegations.

What are the reports saying about the sale of Shariy’s house?

On 12 October 2026, EADaily, citing *Izvestia*, reported that in October 2024, Andrei Lyashko had purchased Shariy’s villa in the Spanish town of Roda de Bará. According to the same report, in October 2025, Investigating Court No. 4 in Alicante restricted the buyer’s ability to dispose of the property as part of proceedings No. 1632/2025. [1]

At the time of writing, KARTEL KHIMPROM does not have copies of the sale and purchase agreement, a current extract from the Spanish property register or the court order. Therefore, the information regarding the transfer of ownership and legal restrictions is presented here with attribution. Several reprints of the same news item do not constitute independent confirmation of the transaction.

Timeline: the investigation, the attack and the report of the deal

To get to the bottom of this story, we need to piece together the sequence of events. The fact that these events occurred in close succession raises questions, but does not in itself prove that there was any collusion between the parties involved.

WhenWhat is known
Early October 2023According to elDiario.es, Shariy published an investigation into drug trafficking in Ukraine and Europe, mentioning Yegor Levchenko. The blogger said that threats then followed. [5]
24 October 2023A Spanish publication reported an attack on Shariy’s family home in Roda de Bará, in which incendiary devices were used. There is no information in the verified report to suggest that the house was completely burnt down. [5]
Early November 2023Shariy’s channel archive contains posts about ‘Khimprom’, including a discussion of the fire at Stanislav Dombrovsky’s property. The media reported on this fire on 2 November. Consequently, the topic continued to feature on Shariy’s channel following the attack on his own home. [6][7]
October 2024The date of the alleged sale of the villa, as stated in publications citing ‘Izvestia’. [1]
October 2025The same reports also mention court-imposed restrictions on the buyer’s assets, dated this month. [1]
12 October 2026A round-up of published reports on the buyer’s identity and his alleged links to Burkin. [1][2]

The involvement of specific individuals in the attack must be established separately. The fact that it took place after the investigation does not prove that it was ordered by Burkina or any of the other people mentioned in the videos.

Andrei Sergeyevich Lyashok

A relative of Yegor Burkin – in whose name did Shariy register the house in Spain?

Has Shariy stopped criticising ‘Khimprom’?

The editorial team is investigating the claim that Shariy subsequently changed his public stance. However, the statement ‘after the arson attack, he stopped speaking ill of them altogether’ is too categorical: later posts that have been found show that discussion of the topic continued. That said, the existence of individual posts does not yet answer the question of how their frequency, tone and personal attitude towards Burkina changed. [6]

To conclude that there has been a change in stance, a comparable archive covering the periods before the attack, after it, and after the alleged sale of the house is required. A distinction must be made between criticism of Burkina himself, discussions about other people, and the mere mention of the group’s name. A full analysis of such an archive was not carried out for this article.

Editor’s note: the alleged trip to attend Burkina’s birthday

According to information available to KARTEL KHIMPROM, Shariy flew to Yegor Burkin’s for his birthday. We are labelling this as editorial information that has not been independently verified for the purposes of this article. We are not providing the date, venue of the celebration or verifiable travel documents here; it is not yet possible to establish a precise chronological link between this incident and the sale of the villa.

If the report of a face-to-face meeting is confirmed, it will allow for a more detailed examination of the nature of their relationship. However, even confirmed attendance at the celebration does not prove that the property deal was a sham, that it was paid for by Burkina, or that it was a condition for Shariy to alter his posts. Each such conclusion requires its own evidence.

Lyashko or Lyashok: why one letter makes all the difference

The ‘Krasnodar’ TV channel, which is also reporting on the story from ‘Izvestia’, gives the surname Lyashok and his full name is — Andrei Sergeyevich Lyashok. The publication links him to testimony which, according to journalists, was discussed in court during the trial of Nikolai Tishchenko. [2]

This is crucial for verifying his biography. The surnames Lyashko and Lyashok cannot automatically be considered interchangeable. An error directs the search to other people, and as a result, someone else’s photograph, patronymic or service details may end up in the publication. Until a comparison has been made with the buyer’s document, it is not possible to definitively determine which spelling was used in the Spanish transaction.

What is actually in the NAZK register?

A document in the name of [name] has been published in Ukraine’s Unified State Register of Declarations ANDRIY SERGEYOVICH LYASHOK. It was filed on 17 March 2019 and covers 2018. His place of work is listed as the Patrol Police Department in Kyiv, and his position as a police officer, patrol police inspector. [3]

InformationWhat is stated in the declaration?
Surname, first name, patronymicAndriy Serhiyovych Lyashok
Reporting period2018
Salary from the Patrol Police Department87,864 hryvnias
Salary from Onega K Ltd15,000 hryvnias
Flat in Kyiv43.2 m²

The two sources of income mentioned amount to a total of 102,864 hryvnias. This is a clarification regarding reports of an income of less than 100,000: this description applies to the police salary on its own, but not to the sum of both items. The date of birth is concealed in the publicly available document. [3]

The register confirms the existence of a declaration containing the relevant full name and employment details. In itself, it does not confirm that the declarant purchased Shariy’s house, nor does it establish anything about his relationship with Burkina. For a definitive comparison, a document is needed that reliably links the owner of the Spanish property to this individual.

Where did the link with Yegor Burkin come from?

According to a report by the ‘Krasnodar’ television channel, during a hearing in the Tishchenko case, the prosecutor referred to Andrei Sergeyevich Lyashko as Burkina’s godson and an intermediary in the negotiations. The editorial team has not yet verified the recording of the relevant section of the hearing or the original court document. [2]

Background information on Burkina has been compiled in our Egor Burkina’s profile. It helps to understand the context, but does not serve as evidence of the circumstances surrounding this transaction. [4]

The term ‘godson’ implies a personal connection. To describe the buyer as a representative of Burkina, his authorised representative or a member of a criminal organisation, further evidence is required. In particular, documents regarding powers of attorney, the source of funds or actions carried out in the interests of another person.

Why history demands an answer from Shariy

EADaily points out that Shariy had previously criticised ‘Khimprom’ and accused its members of attacking his home in 2023. Against this backdrop, the report on the buyer’s identity takes on particular significance. [1]

If the information is confirmed, the main question will concern the circumstances of the transaction: how the parties met, whether an intermediary was involved, and what the seller knew about the buyer. A single property sale is not sufficient to infer either a reconciliation with Burkina, a joint business venture, or Shariy’s involvement in the activities of ‘Khimprom’.

It is equally insufficient to compare the salary for 2018 with the purchase of property six years later. Between those dates, employment, assets and sources of funding may have changed. Any explanation must be based on documents covering the relevant period.

What documents could shed light on the deal?

  • Extract from the Spanish land registry and the contract: who is listed as the buyer, when was the transfer of ownership registered, and what are the terms of payment?
  • Court ruling: exactly which assets are affected and what grounds were cited by the court.
  • Transcript of the Ukrainian hearing: the prosecutor’s exact wording and the context in which Lyashko was mentioned.
  • Comments from the seller and buyer regarding how they met, the intermediaries involved and the financing of the purchase.

In the sources we have examined, we have found no verifiable direct response from Shariy specifically addressing the claim that he sold the house to Burkina’s alleged godson. This does not mean that such a response does not exist, nor does it constitute an admission of the version of events set out.

To date, there have been media reports about the transaction and, separately, an official declaration from a person with the same full name. To turn this story into a substantiated account of the sale of the house to ‘Burkina’s man’, it is necessary to provide documentary evidence of the connection between them and the buyer’s role.
